Here are a few of the custom furniture pieces that we've made. We'd love to work with you on your next heirloom furniture item!
Maple Slab
Entertainment Centre
This gorgeous commissioned piece was made to sit underneath the client's TV which hung on the wall to house their A/V equipment. This slab was hand picked by the client and featured a gnarly crack straight down the middle.
To fix up the crack I first added three Bubinga bowties to keep the crack from splitting further. I then filled the entire length of the crack with "dolphin" metallic pigmented epoxy for added flair. Finished off with some classic raw steel hairpin legs for a clean finish that wouldn't overpower the slab which is the focal point of this piece.

Cedar cookie bar height table
The client who commissioned this piece had some big ideas for his passion... Wine. His plans included a wine room complete with a centre displayed "tasting table". He provided me with some photos of what he was looking for and we selected this gorgeous 3 ft diameter Cedar cookie. The rings on this cookie indicated that it was 74 years old when it was harvested.
I made the legs out of Maple for some added weight to keep the table from being too too heavy and tapered them wider as they go to the floor for added structural integrity. The legs were painted black and finished off with two raw interlocked cross members near the bottom to tie the whole piece together.
I can't wait for the client to get his wine room done now so we can see this piece in its true glory.

Industrial Farm House Table
This custom built table was built as a submission to the Fall 2016 Instagram Builders challenge. This is an entirely custom built table that is one of a kind.
The Table top is constructed from reclaimed wood and finished in a mix of burned grain and dark Walnut stain. The top is encased in reclaimed angle iron fixed with 54 Lag bolts around the exterior.
The frame is finished with reclaimed and new woods and finished in a special paint that mimics the effect of hammered steel from a forge.
The coup-de-gras of this table is the Cedar stringer that runs along the underside of the frame. The Cedar beam is roughened and burned to match the burned table top and accentuate the look of this table. The Stringer is partially inlayed into the frame and affixed with eye bolts to the frame. A mix of aircraft cable and turnbuckles were then affixed to these eyebolts and the underside of the tables frame which perform double duty as they both strengthen the frame and provide the finishing industrial finish to the Table.
